Your Primary Options

When you go on Medicare, you may choose how to get your coverage. You can enroll in Original Medicare (Parts A and B) and add a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan, or you can join a Medicare Advantage plan.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) is another way to get your Original Medicare benefits, and many plans include prescription drug coverage and other benefits for a low (or sometimes $0) premium.

Medicare Supplements are designed to fill any “gaps” in coverage that Medicare leaves behind, such as deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.

When Can You Sign Up for Medicare?

Medicare comes with deadlines, and we can help you understand them. If you’re turning 65, you may be in your Initial Enrollment Period. We’ll tell you what plans you’re eligible for so you can enroll on time and avoid any late penalties. Already have Medicare? You can add, drop, or switch your Medicare health or drug plan during the Annual Enrollment Period. It’s October 15 through December 7 every year, and if you make a change, your new coverage will begin on January 1 of the new year.
