Dental, vision, and hearing coverage is not typically included within Original Medicare. There are some situations when some coverage might be extended, however. For example, if you are having jaw surgery and dental work results, Medicare might cover it.
Whether or not Original Medicare coverage will be applied to a situation depends on each individual circumstances. If you use dental, vision, or hearing services, you’ll be required to pay for these fully out-of-pocket.
Medicare Advantage, or Part C, is an excellent option if you wish to add coverage to your policy. Dental, vision, and hearing coverage can all be added, meaning that the coverage options with Part C extend beyond what Parts A and B offer.
